Ms. Harrison is a graduate of the Pace University School of Law, having received a Juris Doctor degree in 1987. She also possesses a Masters of Science degree in Elementary Education from Hunter College, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the New York State University College at Cortland. 

She is a member in good standing of the following: the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Defenders Association, the Dutchess County Bar Association, and the Mid-Hudson Women's Bar Association.

Ms. Harrison's prior positions include: 

• Staff Attorney with a NYS agency 

• Hearing Officer with a NYS agency 

• Assistant Public Defender (Dutchess County Public Defender's Office) 

• Adjunct Professor at the State University of New York at New Paltz 

• Teacher (all grade levels)

Ms. Harrison has also provided training required by the New York State Office of Court Administration to local town and village justices in various subject matters. 

She is able to converse in Spanish at a basic level.
